1. The basic t-shirt
A basic t-shirt is simply a t-shirt without too many details and in simple colours like white, black, grey and navy. With its simplicity, there are tons of ways to wear it - on its own under a blazer or as part of a layered effect. A basic t-shirt is therefore an essential item in every man's wardrobe.
2. The white sneakers
The white sneakers are probably the most important shoes to have in your wardrobe, as they work for everything. For everyday wear, they give the perfect casual look styled with a pair of jeans or chinos. It's also become totally okay to throw them on with a suit, rather than the classic dress shoe, for a slightly sportier casual look.
3. Crewnecks & Hoodies
What better feeling than pulling on your favourite hoodie or crewneck after a long day at work, or when things just need to be a little extra casual. That's why it's important to find the perfect sweatshirt for your needs. So whether you're into full print or a solid colour sweatshirt, one thing is for sure - it's a must have in your wardrobe.
4. The dress shirt
Sometimes you need to dress up a bit, so it's important to have a proper dress shirt in your wardrobe. A classic white or light blue shirt will never go wrong and will go with most blazers and suits.
5. Jeans
A good pair of jeans is an essential item in your wardrobe. Jeans are great as a casual everyday item, but can also easily be worn for dressy occasions. We would always recommend having a good medium blue denim wash, as it is super versatile and can be worn with almost anything.
6. Overshirts
What is an overshirt? The overshirt is a shirt, typically of a heavier quality. It is often worn as an extra layer on top of another garment - hence the name overshirt. Use it as an alternative to a blazer for dressy wear, or as a light jacket in spring and summer. The great thing about an overshirt is that there's no right or wrong way to wear it - it's entirely up to you.
7. Transitional jackets
Softshell, transition jacket, shell jacket - the dear child has many names, but one thing they all have in common, you should always have a lightweight jacket in the wardrobe, which can be used more or less all year round. It should be possible to have an extra layer underneath, for example, a sweatshirt or a knit for the colder periods.
8. The Everyday Shirt
The everyday shirt is often a shirt you want to wear outside your trousers. It comes in a variety of qualities, such as the classic buttondown shirt in an oxford quality or the denim shirt. The options are many, but these two versions are, in our opinion, the absolute essentials to have in your wardrobe.
9. The casual blazer
The casual blazer is also a wardrobe essential, as it can be worn for many occasions - whether it's a big party or a night out on the town. We would definitely recommend looking for a blazer with a more casual Italian look, such as soft shoulders and sewn-on pockets and preferably a little short in model. This type of blazer goes perfectly with a t-shirt and sneakers, but can easily be dressed up with a shirt and tie.
10. Chinos
Chinos, also known as canvas trousers, are probably the other type of trousers besides jeans that you shouldn't be without in your wardrobe. They work great as a complement to the loose blazer with the often classic and slightly nicer look. Chinos can also be worn casually, styled with a sweatshirt or t-shirt.
